Precast ceilings

Precast concrete ceilings are the practical alternative to conventional cast-in-place concrete ceilings. A precast ceiling is a steel-reinforced concrete slab. Adding in-situ concrete at the construction site creates a monolithic reinforced concrete ceiling. The underside of the ceiling is smooth and can be painted or coated immediately.

fdu precast ceilings can be combined with a wide range of additional elements and features. These include staircase and chimney openings, ventilation collars, ceiling lights and integrated loudspeakers. These elements are installed in our factories, saving time at the construction site.

Our products have many advantages:

  • No need for complex formwork on site
  • High dimensional accuracy
  • Easier surface finishing (ready to be painted or wallpapered)

Integrated parts

Customers can choose from a wide range of additional elements that can be integrated into the precast ceiling sections. This assembly in the factory saves time on the building site and increases planning reliability. fdu offers the following built-in components, among others:

  • Electrical sockets
  • Isokorb® types
  • Fibre cement upstands
  • Punching shear reinforcements
  • Solid upstands
  • Integrated housing for ceiling light
  • Sockets for ventilation systems
